As I was saying in the last article, current maintenance plans were quite modest. Just the oil change + filters, and of course a cross-check of vital components. All was good, no new trouble or failure, no newly identified future plans. ๐Ÿ™‚

At the same day, the car went for a detailed wash and cleanup, plus ceramic coating refresh. During that activity, we have identified two new rust spots, which makes it 3 in total. We have now two 2-3 mm bubbles on trunk lid (near the lock and edge of right top the corner). And then, the usual place, gas filler space, which obviously is the rust location only for E39 M5s. At the filler, there used to be only one bubble, now we have additional two. Let’s see how this goes, I think I might fix it next year. Not sure how, though.. maybe a new trunk lid and new side panel? ๐Ÿ˜€

Anyway, I find it interesting that still new rust spots are popping up. The car does not drive in rain and is parked in garage all year round. Plus, it’s always being dried up after washing (towel or the compressed air) in all trouble places. So I have really no idea where the moist with all consequences is coming from.

All in all – the car is in a great shape. No leaks, no ticking or strange noises, no wobbles anywhere. Exactly as it should be. ๐Ÿ™‚
